Dental Implants

Dental implants serve as a robust and reliable restoration choice, designed intricately to replace missing teeth and restore the natural charm of your smile. Offering unique advantages such as superior durability, natural aesthetics, and high comfort, they bring long-term value by improving your overall oral health and boosting your confidence.

Bone Grafting

Bone grafting is a highly efficient dental surgery performed to rectify issues related to the bones of the jaw. It plays a pivotal role in implant dentistry, allowing dental professionals to effectively replace lost bone, thereby enabling the successful installation of dental implants.

Wisdom Teeth Extraction

With expert precision and a dedicated focus on patient comfort, our team of dental professionals provides top-tier services in the removal of complex wisdom teeth, safeguarding your oral health and ensuring a pain-free experience.

Impacted Canine

If a tooth is impacted, it cannot erupt through the gums properly. The cuspid tooth is critical in your dental arch and plays an important role in your bite. Our orthodontist and oral surgeon will work together to make sure your bit is not compromised.

Tooth Extraction

There are a number of reasons why you may need a tooth extraction. Extractions can lead to issues with chewing ability, problems with the jaw joint, and shifting teeth. Our oral surgeons are prepared to discuss any alternatives to extraction and tooth replacement options to keep your smile.

Oral Pathology

The skin on the inside of your mouth is normally smooth and coral pink in color. If the appearance of the inside of your mouth changes at all, this could be a warning sign of a pathological process, which could be oral cancer. Schedule today for an examination to prevent any further damage.

After the Removal of Multiple Teeth

If several teeth have been removed, you should expect some bleeding following the treatment. Place a gauze pad over the socket and bite down for 30 minutes. If bleeding continues after the 30 minutes, try biting a moist tea bag for another 30 minutes. If you continue to bleed, elevate your head and avoid hot liquids and exercise. Do not remove dentures unless your bleeding is severe. If bleeding persists, please contact [practice_name] immediately.

We recommend continually placing an ice pack (externally) on the side of the face that was operated on for the first 36 hours. If you experience discomfort, we recommend taking two tablets of Tylenol every three to four hours. You can also take two tablets of Ibuprofen every three to four hours. For more severe pain, Dr. [doctor_name] recommends that you use the prescription that was given to you. If your pain becomes more intense after two days, please call our office. We recommend that you drink plenty of liquids following your treatment. We recommend that you drink at least six glasses of water to replace lost fluids during this time. Finally, it is extremely important to flush out food particles and debris by rinsing your mouth with lukewarm water and a half teaspoon of salt. Do not rinse the first day after your treatment if there is bleeding. Once your bleeding has stopped, our oral surgeon recommends that you rinse out your mouth three or four times a day.

It is important to eat only soft foods during the first few days. When your mouth begins to heal, you will be able to eat a wider variety of foods.

Removing several teeth at once is different than extracting only one tooth. Typically, teeth must be smoothed prior to a denture being placed. In a multiple tooth extraction, it is common to experience:

  • Swelling. Generally, the area will reach peak swelling within two days. Discoloration and swelling may also appear near the eye. We recommend placing a warm towel to reduce the discoloration more quickly. You should place the warm towel and an ice pack as often as tolerable during the first 36 hours.
  • A sore throat because nearby muscles may swell and cause pain. Typically, this should fade within two-three days.
  • Dry and cracked lips. To combat this, you should keep your lips moist with Vaseline. You may also have an increased temperature for two days. If your temperature is elevated for more than two days, we invite you to contact our office if this is the case.

Sore spots may occur if immediate dentures have been placed. Generally, your dentist will schedule an appointment with you shortly after our treatment to make the proper adjustments.
